What Is Musculoskeletal Ultrasound?

Ultrasound technology is to scan specific areas of the body allowing us the ability to confirm a clinical decision of various soft tissue injuries or disorders. The handheld scanner emits high frequency sound waves to generate a picture of the layers of tissue underneath the skin. Ultrasound imaging is the safest and least intrusive of all the imaging procedures, meaning very little or no risk to the patient.

It helps our healthcare professionals assess and diagnose the extent of your injury or condition and develop a personalized treatment plan. Whether you're dealing with muscle strain, tendonitis, or joint pain, a musculoskeletal ultrasound provides clear insights of your health.
